Each July, celebrations are held across Australia to mark NAIDOC Week. This is a time to recognise and celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
The theme for this year’s NAIDOC Week is ‘Because of Her, We Can!’
As pillars of our society, we celebrate the invaluable contributions Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women have played – and continue to play – in active and significant roles to our communities, our rich history and to our nation.
